WRFR is launching Poetry RKD, a new hour-long poetry show featuring poets and other guests who discuss a broad range of topics related to poetry, such as music and poetry, poetic movements and forms, and poet-painters and painter-poets. The goal of the show is to introduce poetry to those who may not yet have an appreciation for it and to acquaint poetry enthusiasts with potentially unfamiliar poets, movements and styles. The show is hosted by Steve Merriam and will air weekly on WRFR on Thursdays from 4-5 p.m. Upcoming shows include The Sonnets of Shakespeare and Auden and the poetry of Midcoast poets Leo Connellan and Wilbert Snow.
