WW2 Music on Capn Frank's Radio Free Rockland

  • On the airwaves! WRFR-LP 20 Gay Street Rockland, ME 04841 USA (map)

This coming Friday Capn Frank has planned an hour of WW2 music with the connection between the hits of those days to the B-17, and B-24 Bombers flown by our fathers, grandfathers, and our great grandfathers.

The Army Air Corps would allow the bomber crews to name their aircraft and adorn it with what is called "Nose Art". Sentimental Journey, a B17, and Ain't Misbehavin, also a B-17 are examples of this and how important music was and is for morale. Fun!!
