Points North Institute is now seeking volunteers for the 18th annual Camden International Film Festival, held in Camden, Rockport, and Rockland from September 15 to 18.
Enthusiastic individuals are encouraged to join the team and gain experience in film festival planning, connect with filmmakers and film industry leaders from around the world, see a selection of documentaries screened for the first time in New England, and join local artists to transform boathouses into CIFF parties.
There are many ways to help out, including ticket taking, welcoming attendees, event hospitality, publicity, and theater ushering. Organizers are also looking for dedicated volunteers to help before and after the festival weekend. Volunteers are rewarded with free tickets to screenings, and events. Sign up for a four-hour shift, or the entire weekend to earn a pass and participate in the movies, panels, and parties.
For more information, attend the Volunteer Information Night on Thursday, August 18, at the Shotwell Drive-In Theater, 40 West St, Rockport, 5:30-6:30pm, or email Sarah Rogers at volunteer@pointsnorthinstitute.org.
